The vision of the City of Prestonsburg is to realize our full potential as a leader in the Appalachian region, while being a driving force in the progress of the City of Prestonsburg’s success along with the entire region.

Overview of Organization

The City of Prestonsburg’s Mayor and Council will provide effective and progressive leadership while operating in an efficient, timely and transparent manner. They will provide the citizens and visitors with a safe, clean and well-maintained infrastructure that will allow for growth while maintaining a stable fiscal state and sustaining our small-town atmosphere.

As the County Seat of Floyd County, we will also pursue and develop any opportunities that will not only sustain but improve the quality of life for all citizens of Prestonsburg and Floyd County.
